Based on the technology available at the time of manufacturing, the patina that describes how they were handled. Each nick and scrape, every little customization that the wielder added, unwinds a tale of the tool bag, box or bench that was the tool’s home.

I met a guy who collected tools. A kindred spirit!
His goal was to find all the tools that went with a particular transportation device.
This particular set was created for the Indian Motorcycle Company, the competition for Harley-Davidson.
